I wanted to write this as i am watching the last parts since i wanted to capture the emotions i am still feeling within. Ever After, by far is my most favorite variation of the fomulaic Cinderella story. Needless to say i was crying. during my favorite parts.
I felt sad really, not just because the prince publicly humiliates her, or because of the really dismal state she was in because of her evil step mother and sister. (one of them was actually quite nice) but because i felt that she did to much to get her happy ending. running through the fields, making herself presentable and always being charming even though she worked in the farm the whole day.
She tried her best to be as honest as she could be but because of the prince's deaf ears and ignoring her sentences she couldn't finish what she needed to say. when fate finally gave way the prince accused her of lying to him.
I loved her character because she wasn't sitting around and waiting for her prince.
I loved her passion and the way she pushes bounderies to get to what she wants.
